Hi, I’m Ondrej ( Andy ) —and no, I won’t make you hike up a mountain before breakfast (unless you want to). I’m just here to make sure you have an amazing time, see the real Czech Republic, and maybe even surprise yourself a little along the way.

Whether you’re into castles, countryside, good beer, or just curious about what locals actually do when tourists aren’t looking—I’ve got you covered. Think of me as your friendly insider with a map, a few good jokes, and a lot of stories.

Why I Became a Guide (And Why You’ll Be Glad I Did)

Let’s be honest—some people were born to sit at a desk. I was not one of them. I became a guide because I don’t like boredom, I do like people, and I’ve always had a knack for turning everyday moments into small adventures.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to live, travel, and collect enough stories to fill a book (but don’t worry—I tell them better in person). I also hold a master’s degree in Sport Management, which means I know how to plan, organize, and make sure things run smoothly—even when things don’t go according to plan.

Why You’re in Good Hands

My journey as a traveler began with a one-way ticket to adventure—and a little push from a friend studying abroad in Turkey. I was 21, had never flown before, and suddenly found myself face to face with a culture so different, it lit a spark in me I’ve followed ever since.

Since then, I’ve worked in a summer camp in Pennsylvania (watering plants, painting cabins, and wrangling 400 energetic kids), road-tripped across South Africa sleeping wherever we could find shelter, climbed Alpine via ferratas in France and Austria, and camped under the stars in Switzerland after scooting around Lake Constance—yes, on an actual kick scooter.

I’ve biked across Romania while outrunning stray dogs, crossed the Baltics into Finland while battling headwinds, and spent a year living in Australia on a Work and Holiday visa—where I met my amazing wife from Bali and shared life for a while with an Australian couple who once circumnavigated the globe on a hand-built catamaran.

But before all that? I was a schoolteacher. For three years, I taught physical education and English at an elementary school in the Czech Republic. I organized ski trips for the students, handled group logistics, and learned how to keep both kids and adults calm, entertained, and moving in the right direction—which, trust me, is great training for tour guiding.

Most importantly, I believe in responsibility. I’m proud (and humbled) to say I’ve saved two lives in moments that demanded quick thinking and calm under pressure. It’s not something I talk about often, but it reminds me every day why trust and safety matter—especially when you’re far from home.

If you're looking for a guide who sticks to a rigid schedule and wears a tie… I might not be your guy. But if you're looking for someone who's friendly, flexible, and genuinely wants you to have an amazing time—welcome aboard.

My guests often say they feel like they’re traveling with a friend. I go out of my way to make sure everything runs smoothly, but I also believe the best memories often come from the unexpected. That’s why I’m great at adjusting plans on the fly. Don’t like a stop? No problem. Want to take a detour for a local pastry shop or a surprise view? Let’s do it.

And sometimes—if the mood is right—you might even find yourself around a campfire, roasting sausages, and listening to a few songs on the guitar. No extra charge for my singing (but no promises about the quality, either).

If you prefer to sit back and enjoy the ride, I’ll take care of the transportation, planning, and guiding—up to 8 guests in total (plus me as your driver). This is perfect for families or small groups who want a smooth, comfortable experience from A to Z.

🧭 3. Custom-Built Itinerary

Got something special in mind? I’ll design a fully personalized journey based on your interests—whether it’s castles, nature, food, or hidden local gems. Your pace, your style, your adventure.
